The NC Housing Coalition (NCHC) is committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of its members and constituents. As a statewide membership organization, we collect personal information for use in advocacy, outreach, education, and fundraising. This statement demonstrates our dedication to respecting and protecting the privacy of our members, donors, and constituents to the best of our ability.

All information provided to NCHC by an interested party through email, mail, phone inquiries, website, or other means is submitted with the understanding that it may be used in the manners listed below. NCHC collects and uses personal information through:

Action Alerts
Periodically, NCHC will send our constituents an email asking you to take action on a particular issue. If you choose to take action, your information will be sent to the target of the campaign (usually a law- or decision-maker) and is concurrently stored in our database. We will not share your information with third parties.

Annual Housing Conference
NCHC hosts our Annual Housing Conference in partnership with CICCAR (Community Investment Corporation of the Carolinas) and the NC Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA). In preparation for the conference, NCHC collects and processes registration and payment information. We share only registrants’ name, organization, and mailing information with CICCAR and NCHFA strictly for the use of preparing name tags, conference packets, and related items. We do not share financial (i.e. credit card) information with CICCAR or NCHFA.

Making a Gift
All donors are required to submit personal contact information when making a gift. All information is stored in our secure web-based database, and is used only by NCHC for internal purposes. We will not release, share, or sell your contact or funding information to a third party, unless required by law.

Membership
Members are also required to submit personal contact information. As with donor contributions, all member information is stored in our secure web-based database and is used only by NCHC for internal purposes. We will not release, share, or sell your contact or participation information to a third party unless required by law.

Newsletters and Legislative Updates
NCHC uses email addresses to send twice-monthly housing newsletters and quarterly legislative updates. We will not release, share, or sell your email address to a third party unless required by law.

Aggregate Data
NCHC does not collect any non-personally identifiable information such as IP addresses or page visitation numbers from anyone using our website.  We do not use “cookies” to collect non-personal information.

Links with Other Organizations
If a partner organization hosts an activity that we believe would be of interest to our community, we will email our constituents directly and/or publish the information on our website. We do not share email addresses for this purpose.  In the event that NCHC provides internet links to other websites, NCHC is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of the websites.
