Affordable Housing Primer Chapter 4

Homeownership

Buying a home is a major investment.  There are benefits to homeownership, but owning a home also comes with added responsibilities.  While there are programs to help make buying a home easier, all programs have income requirements.

This chapter examines homeownership, and discusses considerations to make when deciding whether this is the most appropriate housing option given your current financial and life situation, as well as information to help you stay in your home.
