CHIN

The Carolina Homeless Information Network (CHIN) is a program of the NC Housing Coalition and is guided by a twenty-one member Advisory Committee, comprised of member agencies, CoCs, and representative end-users.

CHIN is North Carolina’s centralized, balance of state homeless management information system (HMIS). It is designed as a secure and confidential, computerized data collection tool to aggregate client-level information, over time, on characteristics, service needs and service utilization of individuals experiencing homelessness.
